USTP-CDO Strengthens Regional Collaboration Through Bukidnon State University (BukSU) and Central Mindanao University (CMU) Onboarding
USTP-CDO engages Bukidnon State University and Central Mindanao University in the onboarding and needs assessment for the Regional Knowledge Platform, strengthening regional collaboration and amplifying institutional knowledge, innovation, and visibility across Mindanao.
The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – Cagayan de Oro Campus (USTP-CDO) continues to strengthen regional collaboration. As part of the initiative, the USTP-CDO team visited Bukidnon State University (BukSU) and Central Mindanao University (CMU) to engage with their respective institutions, understand their needs, and explore opportunities to showcase their research, innovation, technology, and knowledge assets through the Regional Knowledge Platform.
At Bukidnon State University, the team met with Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, University President, for an initial discussion on the university’s needs and opportunities for participation in the platform. The engagement focused on identifying ways to effectively onboard BukSU’s institutional portfolio and amplify its visibility among universities, industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders across the region.
The engagement was led by Engr. Alex Maureal, Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Extension (VCRIE) of USTP-CDO, together with Dr. Franch Maverick Lorilla, TBI Manager of CDObites.
Through the onboarding of BukSU and CMU, the Regional Knowledge Platform seeks to create a more connected regional ecosystem where institutions can share knowledge, showcase innovations, discover collaboration opportunities, and increase their visibility across Mindanao.
This initiative reflects USTP-CDO’s continuing commitment to building stronger institutional linkages and advancing a collaborative regional innovation ecosystem where knowledge and innovation can translate into meaningful impact.
